My new album DELIRIUM is almost done and these are the demo versions of what would be the intro and exit tracks of the record…

202 is a short little musical snippet… its about confined space… a room that contains everything you ever need to survive… a room that contains your whole universe…

202 is about lighting a spark… and letting that spark grow into a flame… and then working hard to keep that flame alive… and burning high…

intriguing, every human…
unique in their design…
flaws and imperfection…
no need to underline…
for goodness is the key…
not what they seem to lack…
judge not all that you see…
for all a’int white or black…

i’ve been criticized for a lot of things… especially my music… can take a critique… but the changes lie in my hand… the reason why these melodies came to me is simple… they were born out of my experiences and am fortunate to have found an outlet… a means of release… and the way they have to be treated… is again in my hands… even if they don’t find acceptance in the world, i can breathe easy knowing that i stayed true to them and each one of them is beautiful.

when you look at the world through a microscope… everything’s got flaws… when you look at the moon up close… its full of holes… but when you sit back and look at it from a distance… and see the beauty that it holds… things become easier… and the moon is incredibly beautiful… its inspired so many…

have a great week ahead… and keep the microscope away… it never helps

ps: there’s a reason why i write in lowercase… it might offend grammatically true folk… but lowercase looks much more humble and easier to access

i dunno about others… probably its my lack of skills… probably its my inability to churn out insane solos or fit 40 chords into 8 bars… but something about two or three chord songs… that really appeals to me…

its using minimum to get maximum… sure its not gonna appeal to a lot of purists… a lot of musicians look at my work in contempt…. it was even labeled as “monotonous drone” by two radio stations… but then… does that really ever matter…

its the whole process of jotting down a lyric… to fit a melody that came into your head… and then adding bits of music… rhythm… free-flowing structure… and the end result…

i do this… just because i can

No one’s there’s a song that was written and recorded in the space of a few hours… it was recorded back in 2008 was never released until now… I remember being lost and sitting in front of the keys and playing the piano bits outta the blue… a few chords came out by themselves and so did the words…

cover me in darkness
cloak me in despair
i’m slipping into silence
i’ve slipped beyond repair

Its a song that’s pretty close to me and i hope it finds listeners who will relate to the whole emotion. Art helps you translate emotions into a tangible form. Art is beautiful.
